By using Crohnicle (the app or this website), you agree to these terms. They're written in plain language, not corporate-speak. Read them before you sign in.
What you get
Crohnicle is a companion app for adults living with inflammatory bowel disease. The core features (scanning, meal planning, knowledge hub, symptom tracking, medication tracking, themes) are free for personal use. We may introduce premium features in the future; if we do, the core will stay free.
What you agree to
- Don't use it as medical advice. A "fresh leaf" rating doesn't mean the food is safe for you. Your gut, your call. Your doctor's call.
- Don't share your account. One account per person. Family/clinical sharing is on the roadmap (v1.x), but isn't shipped yet.
- Don't try to break the app. No reverse-engineering, no scraping our recipe database, no bot signups, no DDoS attempts. Be a person, not a problem.
- Be 13 or older. Crohnicle isn't designed for kids. If you're a parent and your kid has IBD, please use the app with them, not let them use it alone.
- Provide accurate info. The food scoring engine relies on your profile inputs (phase, resection status, etc.). Garbage in, garbage out — and that could matter for your health.
What we promise
- The app stays free for the core feature set, forever. We may add premium tiers, but scanning, meal planning, knowledge, symptoms, and meds will always have a free path.
- Your data is yours. Export anytime. Delete anytime. We don't sell. See Privacy Policy.
- We tell you when things change. Material updates to terms or privacy require an in-app notice and 30 days advance email notification.
- We don't lock you out for being inactive. Your account stays active even if you don't open the app for a year.
What we don't promise
- That the app is always right. Food scoring is built on the best evidence we have, but Crohn's is highly individual. The app is a starting point, not the final word.
- That the app is always available. Servers go down. Pages.dev breaks. Cloudflare has outages. We aim for 99.9% uptime but don't guarantee it.
- That the app will never change. Features may be added, removed, or revised. We try to preserve your data and workflows, but the app evolves.
Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Crohnicle is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any harm, injury, or loss resulting from your use of the app, including (but not limited to) flares, food reactions, missed medications, or anxiety. Use the app responsibly. Use your judgment. Use your healthcare provider.
Termination
You can stop using the app or delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms (spam, abuse, attempts to compromise the service). We'll give you a chance to export your data first.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, USA. Disputes go to courts located in Ada County, Idaho.
